The Fashion Market: Innovation and Fashion Forecasting

Learn how trends are created, how trend analysis can be done and what role innovation can play in this. This course is for professionals who want to learn more, or students interested in the fashion industry. Part-time course with evening and distance learning.

Trend analysis is a creative process that maps and analyses cultural changes in society to predict the future. This course will help you understand trend analysis and how innovation, especially new digital tools, influences this process. You will explore both the challenges and opportunities these tools present. The course covers different ideas about trend analysis and looks at how organisations and people use it. 

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand and explain various theoretical perspectives on trend analysis.
  • Understand how different innovation practices drive the future fashion market.
  • Explore trend analysis as a creative process that looks at cultural changes to predict the future.
  • Examine different ideas about trend analysis and think critically about how organisations do it.
