Career
Employment after graduation
The prospects of employment immediate after graduation are good. During the winter of 2019 an alumni survey was conducted among students graduating in 2011-2017.
Our former students demonstrate a quick establishment on the labor market. According to the 2019 alumni survey, eight out of ten had a job within six months of graduating. Every forth student had a job even before getting their master’s degree!
The master’s programme international profile creates opportunities to work in many different parts of the world. Many choose to pursue a career outside their country of origin and one third of the foreign students stay in Sweden after graduating.
A majority of our past students find the education useful in their current employment and says that there is a connection between the master’s studies and their working life. The interdisciplinary nature of the programme in which you get knowledge in many subjects enables you to have many choices for future jobs. The education creates opportunities for you to work in the private and public sector. Our alumni work in a variety of fields, such as marketing, logistics, sales, research, entrepreneurship and management to name a few.

Campus Helsingborg International Student Career Programme
Campus Helsingborg receives around 300 international Master’s students each year, with a large number aspiring to stay in Sweden to build their careers after graduation. However, for many of them finding a job remains a significant challenge, due to several barriers such as limited knowledge of the Swedish labour market, a lack of understanding of Swedish workplace culture, insufficient familiarity with the recruitment and application process and limited access to a professional network.
This programme aims to support students in overcoming some of these challenges by offering insights into the Swedish job market, providing knowledge about job search strategies, and creating opportunities to connect with some of the most prominent employers in the Helsingborg region. In this sense, the initiative illustrates how academia and local community organisations can join forces in the attempt not only to attract, but also to retain international talent in the region. The programme consists of a series of events specifically designed to equip international students with the tools to navigate the Swedish labour market, apply for jobs and internships, visit local companies, and build valuable professional networks.
