Collaborate
Collaboration initiatives
One of the university's tasks is to contribute to solutions to key societal challenges. To succeed in this, broad interdisciplinary collaborations within the academy are required in collaboration with activities outside the university.
Collaborate with us
We welcome innovative thinking and collaborations outside of traditional patterns. Collaboration with companies and organizations within the service industry is an integral part of our education and our research. We are continuously looking for new collaborations that can help us improve the content of our education and raise the quality of our research.
The department has a close and extensive collaboration with both industry, the public sector, associations, former students and other activities within the service industry. Cooperation with the outside world constitutes an important platform for quality assurance of both education and research. The knowledge we gain through collaborations helps us to understand the world around us, while at the same time we can develop the content of our educations. This means that we are better able to meet current requirements and trends within the service industry.

Collaboration and education
Our students come into contact with companies and organizations continuously throughout their education. Several courses include, among other things, guest lectures and study visits. In our bachelor's program in service management, students can also choose an internship course during the fifth semester.
Representatives from various companies and organizations regularly contribute to our various training courses with industry knowledge, practical problem-solving, case studies and project work. Students at Campus Helsingborg also have the opportunity to meet companies and organizations during the Student Union's labor market day, the AGORA day, which is an annual event in March.
Campus Helsingborg International Student Career Programme
Campus Helsingborg receives around 300 international Master’s students each year, with a large number aspiring to stay in Sweden to build their careers after graduation. However, for many of them finding a job remains a significant challenge, due to several barriers such as limited knowledge of the Swedish labour market, a lack of understanding of Swedish workplace culture, insufficient familiarity with the recruitment and application process and limited access to a professional network.
This programme aims to support students in overcoming some of these challenges by offering insights into the Swedish job market, providing knowledge about job search strategies, and creating opportunities to connect with some of the most prominent employers in the Helsingborg region. In this sense, the initiative illustrates how academia and local community organisations can join forces in the attempt not only to attract, but also to retain international talent in the region. The programme consists of a series of events specifically designed to equip international students with the tools to navigate the Swedish labour market, apply for jobs and internships, visit local companies, and build valuable professional networks.
