This was a day full of excitement, relief, happiness and anticipation as students joined together in taking their last official steps at Lund University.
The ceremony included speeches, music, and individual congratulations as the students received a token certificate from Faculty Leaders.
We hope the graduating students had a lovely day celebrating with close family or friends, as well as classmates and students from other Master’s programmes.

Local climate collaboration as a strategy to reduce emissions: The SME owner-managers’ perspective
Authors: Mia Blatančić & Alexander Kurtén
The thesis asks why small and medium-sized enterprises engage in climate action. Using legitimacy theory, and based on a solid series of semi-structured interviews, it shows how owners of SMEs are driven by a strong internal moral compass when making decisions about climate work. The analysis demonstrates that resource constraints are best overcome through collaboration with other local actors. Data collection is purposeful and systematic, and includes thoughtful methodological reflection. The findings have clear theoretical, practical and political implications. Overall, a very well-crafted thesis with exceptional coherence.

The research design is elegant with a good choice of empirical material. Overall, a creative and original thesis that contributes with new knowledge about a key issue of our times.
