I am a professor in human geography and was awarded my PhD at Lund University in 1998. I investigate issues of sustainable development in service societies. I write about how resources come into being and become managed, how social and economic aspects of sustainability relate to each other, how services for sustainability can be conceptualised, how local economies can be developed and how research and political change can benefit from each other.


Me and the colleagues I work with move through different worlds whose common denominator is that they are embedded in a political discourse of sustainable development through economic growth and the making of resources. We want to discuss alternatives to an economic logic of valuating the different dimensions of sustainable development.
