Welcome to the 23rd QMOD-ICQSS conference, October 15-17, 2020 Bratislava, Slovakia

During the last 22 years the QMOD conferences have been organised in China (1997), Slovenia (1999), Denmark (2000, 2017), Sweden (2001, 2007 & 2008), France (2002), Korea (2003), Mexico (2004), Italy (2005 & 2009), UK (2006, 2018), Germany (2010), Spain (2011), Poland (2012: 2019), Slovenia (2013), Czech Republic (2014), Seoul (2015) and Rome (2016).

The QMOD conference has become one of the largest scientific conferences within the research fields of Quality, Service, Organisational Development and related research areas. The yearly QMOD conference is also proven to be a true forum where academics as well as practitioners from all around the world exchanged their knowledge and experiences and thereby built a 'QMOD Community'. Through this forum, we have discussed and shared our research and experiences in order to be able to draw a more accurate picture of organisational and business realities and thereby to improve our diagnosing capabilities of current problems and improvement opportunities.   

Business environments are constantly evolving towards higher complexity. Hyper competition, increasing importance of intangible assets, cultural and ethnical diversity, focus on quality of life, gender, organisational ecology, environmental sustainability, corporate social responsibility and risk management are among the many issues which challenge modern management theories and practices.

We welcome contributions from all relevant fields of management not limited to the specific conference themes. The contributions may be of disciplinary, multidisciplinary or inter-disciplinary character. Also we welcome papers of conceptual, empirical and practical characters.
